Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen has an October 9, 2026 release date on PC, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. The release expands the existing adventure and brings the game to Nintendo’s new console for the first time.

A journey into the snowy north

The new story leads to Norgan, a long-abandoned northern region. There, the Arisen joins the mysterious Eir to investigate the undying Fallen Dragon. Relics found and appraised along the way unlock new weapons and skills.

The expansion also adds 12 dungeon challenges in the main game’s world, with equipment left behind by earlier Arisens. New hairstyles and tattoos give both the Arisen and Pawns more character-creation options.

Together, the new region and dungeons give returning players two directions to explore: follow the added story or take on challenges in familiar territory.

Editions and included content

The Dark Arisen Expansion requires Dragon’s Dogma 2. Existing owners on PC, PS5 or XBOX Series X|S can buy the expansion separately; newcomers can choose a package containing the base game and expansion.

On Nintendo Switch 2, Dark Arisen combines the original game and new content in one release.
