Use Ammonis as Your XBOX Mode Home
When Windows offers XBOX mode home app selection, choose Ammonis to open a controller-first library that reaches beyond XBOX and Game Pass
Choose the experience that opens first
Windows can open XBOX mode with a home app of your choice. Selecting Ammonis puts its controller-first library at the center of that experience.

Set up XBOX mode on a supported PC
XBOX mode requires Windows 11 version 24H2 or later with Gaming Full Screen Experience available. Enable XBOX mode in Ammonis Settings and follow the setup prompts. Initial setup may require enabling Windows Developer Mode and approving an administrator prompt.
What changes in XBOX mode
Controller as Mouse, Ammonis controller shortcuts, and Steam/GOG achievement unlock notifications are unavailable while XBOX mode is active. You can still browse your library, launch games, and manage supported per-game profiles.
Ammonis also works outside XBOX mode
XBOX Full Screen Experience is optional. Ammonis also runs as a normal Windows app on Windows 10 version 2004 and later, including Windows 11, with controller navigation, library access, and per-game settings.

Is XBOX Full Screen Experience required?
No. Use Ammonis as a normal fullscreen Windows app, or enable XBOX mode on a supported system if you want Ammonis to open as its home app.
Does Ammonis support XBOX Game Pass games?
Yes. Ammonis detects installed XBOX and Game Pass games without requiring an XBOX account connection. Connect your account for supported online library and achievement features. Game Pass access still depends on your subscription.
Where do I choose the home app?
After enabling the integration in Ammonis, open Windows Settings → Gaming → XBOX mode and choose Ammonis as the home app when that option is available.
